IMERT has been accredited as Commodities Derivatives Trainer (CoT) by Securities Exchange Board of India (SEBI) and as part of it, “Commodities Derivatives Training” program was organized at Kolhapur, Maharashtra. It was conducted on 04/05/2019 from 6.00 pm to 08.30 pm.
The venue for the program was a Hotel Pavilion Kolhapur and farmers/ traders from the nearby areas participated. There were 35 participants for the program.
In local language i.e. Marathi, the awareness on commodities markets was conducted for Soybean commodity.
The commodities markets overview and followed by commodities derivative training based on Soybean was delivered by Dr. Shriram Nerlekar, approved commodities Derivative Trainer.
The participation by the farmers/traders was appreciable and there was interaction and question-answer session at the end of the program.
This training program was to inform, educate and create awareness amongst farmers/traders about commodity derivatives markets and was a great knowledge sharing experience.
It was a free program for the participants and all of them were provided with lunch post the training session. This training program was financially supported by SEBI -Investor Protection Fund.
