Marathwada Mitra Mandal’s Institute of Management Education Research and Training (IMERT), Pune successfully organized IDEATHON 2026 on 12th January 2026 as a full-day innovation and ideation event. The event was designed to promote creative thinking, problem-solving skills, and entrepreneurial mindset among students across institutions under the Marathwada Mitra Mandal Trust.
IDEATHON 2026 served as a collaborative platform where students from diverse academic backgrounds came together to propose innovative solutions to real-world problems. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 56 teams, reflecting a strong culture of innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration within the MM Trust institutions.
Objectives of IDEATHON 2026
The key objectives of organizing IDEATHON 2026 were:
• To encourage students to think innovatively and develop solution-oriented ideas
• To promote entrepreneurship, startup thinking, and design thinking skills
• To provide a platform for showcasing creative and socially relevant ideas
• To enhance teamwork, leadership, and presentation skills among students
• To foster an innovation-driven ecosystem across MM Trust institutions
All 56 teams engaged in intensive ideation and brainstorming sessions. Each team worked on identifying a problem statement and proposing innovative solutions in areas such as business innovation, social entrepreneurship, technology-driven solutions, sustainability, healthcare, education, and digital transformation.
Teams presented their ideas before an evaluation panel comprising faculty members and innovation experts. Each team was assessed based on predefined criteria, including:

• Social and economic impact
• Clarity of presentation
• Team collaboration and approach
The evaluation process was transparent and interactive, allowing students to receive constructive feedback that further enriched their learning experience.
