Industry visit to Volkswagen India Pvt. Ltd. – Chakan, Pune

On Wednesday, 10th of January 2018, MM's IMERT had organized an industrial visit to one of Germany's leading and world’s second largest automobile manufacturer’s plant - Volkswagen in Chakan, Pune.

MBA I year – Div C students accompanied by 3 faculty members (prof.Dr.Abhinay, prof.Aparna and prof.Yogini) visited the facility.

The visit began with a company presentation in the company's Communication Centre which was followed by a quick Q & A session. The presentation comprised of a brief history of the Volkswagen group, their global presence, their culture of continued innovation, their India presence in terms of investments, manufacturing set-up, sales and service network and their CSR initiatives.

Post presentation, the students and faculty were taken on a visit to the state of the art shop floor where these popular cars are assembled, rigorously tested for quality and taken for a test ride within the company premises.

The visit was an exhilarating experience for the students as they witnessed from close quarters the detailing, dedication and innovation that goes into making each Volkswagen product so special and valuable.
